WHY IS YOUR INFORMATION COLLECTED?
The Home Staging Service collects information when it is directly (“Directly Provided Data”). When you sign up for the newsletter, complete an enquiry form or download any free content on the website you will input your information which is stored in the database. For a transaction to take place The Home Staging Service require your information which you may send via email, telephone or in person. Sometimes information is indirectly received through estate agents or developers who are also directly involved in the sale of your property.
WHY IS YOUR INFORMATION COLLECTED AND HOW WILL IT BE USED?
Your personal information is collected for legitimate interests. For example, collecting your information means that The Home Staging Service can understand your needs and provide you with services.
Legitimate business interests include the following:
- For evidential purposes to manage and maintain records of client/prospect relationships/communications
- To contact clients/prospects by telephone or email to arrange meetings in relation to work
- To enhance, modify, personalise or otherwise improve services and communications for the benefit of clients/prospects
- To better understand how people interact with the website and content in order to enhance the customer experience
- To determine the effectiveness of promotional campaigns to inform marketing strategy
- To enable people to apply for a job or contracting opportunity
- To contact you, for example if you submit an enquiry using a contact form.
HOW IS YOUR INFORMATION STORED ONLINE?
The Home Staging Service uses a number of third-party systems to store and process the personal data we hold. These systems are password protected and GDPR compliant.
- Team Up – our project management system
- OneDrive – our cloud-based file storage
- Xero – our cloud-based accounts system
The Home Staging Service does not sell your personal data or other information to any third-party.
HOW LONG IS YOUR INFORMATION KEPT?
The Home Staging Service will not retain your personal information longer than necessary. The Home Staging Service will hold onto the information you provide for the duration of the transaction whilst a service is provided to you. Once complete you will be emailed to find out if you wish for The Home Staging Service to continue holding your information. The reason for continuing to hold your data at this stage would be for ongoing marketing, quarterly newsletters which are of interest to clients.
Any data stored electronically will be deleted in accordance with the GDPR policy. The exception is information collected from feedback, which is held only for the duration of its usefulness, for a marketing campaign for instance. This data is anonymised, unless your permission has been obtained to use your name, and retained for internal evidential purposes, or deleted.
IF YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND AND DON’T WANT YOUR INFORMATION HELD?
Please send an email to confirm that you no longer wish for The Home Staging Service to hold your information and it will be deleted it from the database. Once your transaction has come to the end, an email will be sent to you asking for confirmation to continue keeping you updated with the property market through newsletters or for any future work which may arise from the transaction. Each newsletter sent out has an ‘Unsubscribe’ button at the bottom of the page where you have the option to unsubscribe from future newsletters.
WHO WILL YOUR INFORMATION BE SHARED WITH?
Your individual personal information is never shared with anyone without your advance permission or unless ordered by a court of law. Information submitted to The Home Staging Service is only available to employees managing this information for purposes of contacting you or sending you emails based on your request for information and to contracted service providers for purposes of providing services relating to communications with you.
In accordance with the job, contractors will receive necessary information via email. Once the job is completed they will delete this information.

Committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, The Home Staging Service have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information collected online.

The Home Staging Service website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave the site, you should note that The Home Staging Service does not have any control over that other website. Therefore, cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites, and such sites are not governed by the privacy statement.
